whither Googlebox 1.4(b)?

After happily using Googlebox 1.4(b) with Multizilla 1.6.3 on Mozilla 
1.7 and 1.7.1 for several months, I foolishly clicked on the manual 
update button of the Advanced page in the Preferences dialog and 
discovered that MZ 1.6.4.0b and GB 1.4(c) were available.

I updated the former with no problems, but updating the latter seemed 
not to "take."  Indeed, after restarting, the update check continued to 
insist that the installed GB was 1.4(b) and a newer version was 
available: 1.4(c).  After several otherwise successful seeming attempts 
to update it, with no apparent effect, I even more foolishly decided to 
uninstall GB (and subsequently, both GB and MZ) and to reinstall from 
scratch.

Now I am happily running MZ 1.6.4.0b, and (according to the update link) 
GB 1.4(c), but no Googlebox appears on my toolbar.  When I press F2 to 
toggle it on, instead I get a new tab opened in Mozilla to the page, 
http://multizilla.mozdev.org/features/googlebox.html.  I unfortunately 
never downloaded and saved the xpi nor can I locate 1.4(b) on the site 
to try reinstalling that version.  Can anyone point me at (or send me) 
that version?

I even went so far as to completely uninstall Mozilla and reinstall it, 
to no avail.  Also, now, since Gooblebox will not display a UI, I cannot 
even get to the uninstall button on the Preferences page in order to 
uninstall cleanly.

Is this something anyone has heard about?
