I think that newsgroup is much better. Setting up a web gateway to
the newgroups would be much better.

In fact, if you look at the http://gmane.org/ you can have the newsgroup 
presented in two different ways on the web:

- as a blog entry
- as a webforum entry (with frames or without).

There is nothing wrong with "blogging" to the newsgroup with some ideas 
to discuss.
