Wait, I just noticed on this computer I'm using 1.8.3.5c, not b.
This may be why I can't reproduce it.
Was something changed that would fix the issues with the save and cancel button as well as the preference windows coming up blank
when swithing tabs?

Regardless, I shall try again as soon as I get back to my other computer.
