Try the Noscript extension, which does indeed seem to keep these !@#$%ards from coming up. You'll need to then ad whitelist entries for trusted sites, as it blocks all by default, but it does do the job. http://noscript.net/ (Note that this page doesn't seem to render very well under SeaMonkey, but at least the extension - yes, even the latest version - installs without complaint.)
