Oh, really? How does he know what random numbers are current? The
websites they offer don't even tell which major version is current.

It's a link and you can click on it to find out, it will take you
directly to the code management system, and the revision there has a
date, etc. - this is really useful for people who want to see what's
behind the scenes or are developers.
