Example of how Firefox's updating is broken.
This morning, I open Firefox 5.0.1, I open the About window, Firefox
begins to download Firefox 6. I allow it to download, then restart to
apply. After the update, the Addon Compatibility checker opens up,
runs, and informs me that the Java Console isn't compatible with
Firefox 6. I can either check for updates for it, or skip. I skip.
Firefox opens, reopens my saved tabs, and a "What's new" page with
little information.
1. Remove the addon checker. It serves no useful purpose. Make addons
compatible unless marked otherwise.
2. Get rid of the firstrun page. It is useful with a fresh
installation, and it was useful when we released a new version every
year. Now, it has no useful information, and just serves to emphasize
"You are on a new version, tehee"
