Your clients can tell you what version they're using. They open 
Help->Troubleshooting and give you all kinds of great information about 
what Firefox they're using, what extensions might be breaking your site, 
what rendering modes (GPU acceleration) might be breaking your site, etc.

As for sitting on older versions of Firefox while they wait on you to 
fix your site, that's a pretty scary game you're playing with Firefox 
users' security. We don't patch older releases and there are definitely 
critical security holes in older releases that bad guys will exploit. If 
you're advising users to not upgrade, you're advising them against the 
advice of their browser maker and you're putting their safety at great risk.
