Do you really imagine a poll providing definitive answer for the 
need of a change, worldwide?  Most Firefox users won't even be aware 
few "rebels" like you, are trying to sabotage the development of 
their favorite browser.  Even if worldwide poll would be possible, 
that is, having all Firefox users actually participating in the 
poll, do you think having to poll for every single feature will make 
the development progress in acceptable pace?

What you could do, however, is to try to get involved in the 
development.  That means you should get involved into the well 
established development and maintenance process.  If you prove 
yourself as major contributor to the success of the product, you 
would be given the right and responsibility of making decisions to 
make the product even better.

Most of the rants I've read here cannot represent a definitive need 
for a change in the chosen direction of development.  Mozilla driven 
process/project like Test Pilot serves much better for it, for 
example.  A poll sounds just silly to me.
