Well, I don't think the point of bug 678775 was to train users to go to 
Troubleshooting Information instead of About Firefox to get the answer 
to this question. The point, as I understand it, is that version numbers 
are unnecessary and that all users need to know is whether they're on 
the most current release or if they need to upgrade.

The example above illustrates a scenario where this information alone 
isn't sufficient, so I'm curious what the best solution would be for that.
