Actually I don't depend too much on Firefox-version for my work, but yes 
I do for Thunderbird: a non-compatibilty between Thund and Lightning or 
between Thund and Openldap could be a really serious issue for my work. 
I guess that Thunderbird is moving in the same direction of Firefox, 
isn't it? I remember when I had to roll-back from TB3 to TB2 to have 
lightning working again.
I have not a suggestion at the moment, I will come back here if I will 
have in the next future.

BTW, thanks a lot for these two very well-done softwares (FF and 
Thunderbird!).
