This still works in firefox 3.5.4. I did not remember that there is a
second way to clear the cache. Thanks.

This works only in versions before 3.5.  You don't get to select only
cache, when you do clear recent history.  You only get to select the
time span for recent history that you want to clear.  But if I have one
method that works with two clicks that is fine.

By the way, the "clear-cache button" addon suggested in another message
is not a solution on linux systems.  It does not really clear the cache.
 It just moves its contents to a new directory called Cache.Trash.  This
does not reduce storage consumption, of course.  I need to completely
get rid of the cache files.
