2ManDVD is very easy to use. I made a DVD with animated menus without any
knowledge with it. It accepts any video file, and encodes everything
automagically.

The only default is that it takes very long to test a new project, as it
starts by reencode everything. A way to do fast is the cut all project videos
length to 20 seconds, and work with this short videos (20 seconds to have
enough footage to aniated menus). Then when you are happy, just save the
project, close 2ManDVD, replace the 20s versions with full time ones, and
create the DVD!

I just had to get my hands in the dirt (learn dvdauthor) to have more than one
subtitle track.

Definitevely a must try to newcomers. It is packaged in all major distros I
know (Debian, Mandriva, etc.)
