spumux issues

Hello.

I have an interesting issue:  I have tried to make a dvd with some picture subtitles.  They are 720x480, 4 color, 8 bit png files.  I have done this for subtitles many, many times in the past - always with great success.  Spumux puts them into the mpeg stream and I can view them with players such as Xine, but when I make a dvd with the mpeg file using dvdauthor, nothing I do will make the subtitles appear when the dvd is played.  The subtitles are still there, though, as I can dvdunauthor the dvd and play the video with the subtitles.

As an experiment, I tried doing a text based versions of the subtitles (a .srt file).  Again, spumux put them into the file and when I made a dvd, the subtitles showed up just as they should.

I thought maybe it's a bug in the new version (0.7.0).  I tried an older version (0.6.18), but the same thing happened (previously it worked perfectly).  This would lead me to think that perhaps some shared library that has changed is to blame.  I have no idea which one it would be, though.  

Any ideas?

On to some other issues:
Both spumux and spuunmux complain about the format (NTSC/PAL) not being specified even though I specify it.  I doesn't seem to matter whether or not I specify it, though.

While "spuunmux -f" produces full size images of the subtitles, it puts an xoffset and yoffset in the sub.xml file.  Older versions did not do this which makes for converting subtitles from/to PAL/NTSC relatively easy since they only require a batch resize operation.  Now I have to edit the sub.xml file to remove something that shouldn't be there in the first place.

Any ideas on how to fix any of these issues?
