Unexpected jumps, skipping chapters

I'm in the stage of fixing all latest details of a DVD, that is, just fixing the final xml config
file in order to make the disc behave as I wish.
Now, when authoring its last two versions it happens dvdauthor adds some strange glitches.
In the `yesterday' version I added more chapters and a pause="2" in all clips in the <vob> tag;
(then dvdauthor-ed the whole thing, then burned on a disc... well, you know). Well, when selecting
clip 7, my stand-alone player jumps to its 2nd chapter, skipping the first one. Here's the
declaration statement:
<vob file="ep7_4.m2v"
chapters="0:00:00.000,0:00:55.800,0:02:57.600,0:04:52.960,0:08:46.720,0:10:13.360" pause="2"/>
There is no way to see the beginning of clip 7 (but, of course, moving across the clip after it's
actually running) and I'm sure I didn't ask for this in any way. In fact, the clip is called via
`jump title 7' and this sintax worked before and actually works for any other clip.
In the `today' version I removed those pause="2" from any clip, now let's see what happens.
Well, this same behaviour now appears in a different clip, the clip 13, which is also called via a
`jump title 13'. here's its declaration statement:
<vob file="credits_MPEG.m2v" chapters="0:00:00.000,0:01:34.200"/>
As you can see, it has only two chapters and the second one points to the last I-frame (I use this
in order to easily skip the clip, if I want). Now, since the stand-alone player always starts from
the second chapter, the result is it's never visible at all!
Please note, in the `three-days-ago' version and before, the only difference is the number of
chapters for each clip (they were only two for each clip).
Now, I really can't see where this behaviour can have its root.
I definitely need help.
