This seems to be just a non-exit status/warning.

This is corrected by either specifying ntsc/pal within /etc/video_format,
~/.config/video_format.
FIXME: There seems to be a lack of info on the file syntax. ie.
format=ntsc/pal or video_format=ntsc/pal??

Or exporting an environmental variable as in the following:

 $ VIDEO_FORMAT=ntsc  dvdauthor -t -o /tmp/dvd AtWarWithTheArmy.mpg
DVDAuthor::dvdauthor, version 0.7.0.
Build options: gnugetopt imagemagick iconv freetype fribidi fontconfig

However, still getting a break with mkisofs or mplayer:

Obviously those IFO/BUP filename were not found, but do seem to occur by
another name below. Creating a symlink doesn't solve the problem.

$ find /tmp/dvd/

/tmp/dvd/AUDIO_TS
/tmp/dvd/VIDEO_TS
/tmp/dvd/VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_3.VOB
/tmp/dvd/VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_0.BUP

/tmp/dvd/VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_0.IFO
/tmp/dvd/VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_1.VOB
