Hi,
USB ID 054c:05f7 Sony Corp. HDR-PJ710V
It has a USB storage mode, and PTP mode. USB storage isn't useful since video files are split in 4GB chunks, whereas PTP mode on Windows, give the complete file.
This unit works properly with Windows 10. I tried upgrading to Ubuntu Jammy 22.04 - libgphoto2 2.5.27, which states there is some added > 4GB file size support, but it still shows truncated file size:
$ gphoto2 -L -f /store_00010001/2022-05-22
There are 2 files in folder '/store_00010001/2022-05-22'.
#1 20220522103015.MTS rd 4194304 KB 1920x1080 video/mp4
#2 20220522110329.MTS rd 4194304 KB 1920x1080 video/mp4
It appears to be PTP device:
$ gphoto2 --auto-detect
