Canon 6D not detected in MacOS (Yosemite)

Hi,
I'm building a system which needs to control camera remotely.
I have connected Canon 6D (power on) via usb to Macbook and when I run
gphoto2 --auto-detect I get no devices.
Any ideas what to try next? Do I need to install some drivers to OSX for the
camera? Should I see camera somehow as a device in os-level?
