Hi,

I hope it is ok to write my problem here into the mailing list.

I am running a Canon EOS 1300D with gphoto2 version 2.5.15

It runs mostly fine, but the camera got disconnected spontanously, so that
an io-error occured.

To turn off and on the camera solves the problem, and it works again for a
while, but this is somehow inconvenient, since the camera and the
corresponding computer are in a different town as I am, but in an room of a
friend of mine (looking out of the window at a beautiful night sky). So I
have to call my friend each time, when I want to have the camera restarted.

Do you have an idea what causes the disconnection of the camera and how to
avoid it? Is there another possibility to restart the camera remotly?

Thank you and with best regards
Joachim Ripken
