I've tested it a moment: --shell works, but all this is not reliable
stable.

I studied the ~200 pages manual of the Wifi part of the cam and it seems
that it not only can act as an AP but also connect to an AP like all the
other devices, laptops, smartphones, ... in my home. May be this variant
is more reliable. I couldn't test this so far (because my sons are busy
with the cam :-))
