We are currently using various Sony = camera models, and we are having some trouble with the a7r4 model and = its variants. Following information in some bug reports, we have found that the camera = requires calling capture-image-and-download with a wait-event like so: = "gphoto2 --wait-event=3D3s --capture-image-and-download" This allows us to capture from the camera, but even after finishing the = command, the camera seems to remain in a not-ready steady for a few = seconds afterward, so that if you call a second capture command, it will = error, and the camera will become locked and require restarting it = before it can capture again. Yurii Didyk, a programmer working on the software, has filed a bug = report here: https://github.com/gphoto/libgphoto2/issues/907 He has also just uploaded a log to the bug report demonstrating the = issue, where a PTP timeout occurs and it believes the camera is in an = unexpected state. How can we help to debug and fix this issue? Is there any other = information we can provide or tests we can run? Thanks in advance for any help and for the continued development of the = gphoto software in general. -Jude Coelho Internet Archive= --Apple-Mail=_C0A3B344-D675-4B75-A469-B5B45FE301D9 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Type: text/html; charset=us-ascii <html><head><meta http-equiv=3D"content-type" content=3D"text/html; = charset=3Dus-ascii"></head><body style=3D"overflow-wrap: break-word; = -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; line-break: after-white-space;"><div = dir=3D"auto" style=3D"overflow-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: = space; line-break: after-white-space;">Hello,<div><br></div><div>At the = Internet Archive, we use gphoto2 in our book digitization software, and = have for many years.
