Configure GRIP for FreeDB

Hello everyone,

some days ago I've downloaded FreeDB, together with CDDB 1.5PL2, to connect
it with GRIP.
I want CDDB to run as stand-alone-server on my SuSe 9.0. Therefore I start
CDDB with ./cddb -s 8880. Everything is working fine, CDDB is running. STAT
shows that one user is connected. When I start GRIP and insert a CD, no
databasefile is found and displayed.
As first server I grabbed freedb.freedb.org with CGI-Path ~cddb/cddb_cgi, as
shown in the GRIP-documentation. As second I have entered localhost with
CGI-path /root/public_html/cddb.cgi. I checked it with linux.local, instead
of localhost, too. Nothing works. GRIP is not willing to display name and
title.
Who can solve my problem? Where is the mistake I've made? Thanks in advance
for your help.

Regards

Edgar Ehrlich
