CD filter command "normalize -b"

Hello

I checked out the mail archive and found I'm not the only one who is
asking for that feature. But a clear answer was never given to that.

I would like grip to wait until ripping the whole CD. Then it should run
the CD filter command "normalize -b" to process all ripped files in a
batch, i.e. adjust the volume of the whole album but keep the dynamic
range between the tracks (silent tracks remain silent in comparison to
loud tracks on the same album).

Among many variations I tried the CD-filter command 
"/usr/bin/normalize -b ~/mp3/wavs/%A/%d/*.wav"
as I did it many times manually in the command line but including the
(%) switches to define the location of the files.

but as I read in the archive, grip does not resolve *.wav. Also the
suggested %f does not work (with my version 3.2.0).

Didier Malenfant had a workaround
(http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=1785417)
but he did not write details, how to generate the batch file and how to
recall the filenames. This was almost 3 years ago...

I would be pleased if somebody could write me a working cd filter
command or some still practical workaround. If this is really existing
it would be also fine if this would find its way into the grip
documentation or at least the grip faq.
