Thanks, but then do I have to add any of the accented characters to the list
of "characters to not strip from filenames"? If so, how do I add them? For
example, how do I insert the 'e' with an acute accent? In Windows, I was
generally able to just type Ctrl+'+e. Thanks.

God bless
Hiran

Try to change "*Config->ID3->ID3v1 Character set encoding" *and
"*Config->ID3->ID3v2 Character set encoding" *to "*ISO-8859-1".
