I also think this would be a great feature. Before switching to Linux on 
my desktop I used the "Exact Audio Copy" freeware program for my 
ripping. One of the biggest things I miss about that program is the 
logging. I have enclosed a (shortened) log file from that program. This 
is really helpful when trying to do unattended rips and ensuring no 
defects in the files. I have yet to find Linux software that does this 
quite as well. I know that cdparanoia doesn't even output as much data 
as this to begin with and there's nothing Grip can do about that but it 
would be nice to have the option to automatically save the information 
it does give you about the success of each track to a log file in the 
directory you are extracting to.
