Re: scsi emulation

So should I enable scsi emulation to increase rip speed in (grip)
cdparanoia mode (per Grip  Help - Section 3.3 - 'Increasing Ripping
Performance')?

I use GRUB bootloader, so do I edit the 'kernel' line in the config file
(in my case /boot/grub/menu.lst) to read:

kernel    /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.17-10-generic root=/dev/hda3 ro quiet splash *hdc=ide-scsi*


I'd appreciate any help on this.
