I'm using Grip 3.3.1 through a Squid proxy without any problems. I know
that older versions of Grip have had problems with using a proxy.
Specifically 3.2.0 needed a patch to be able to use a proxy.

A bit of leg work on my firewall shows that the request never gets to the

With Grip 3.2.0 I had exactly the symptoms you describe here, until I
patched Grip.
