cddb utf-8 encoding/Chinese character encoding

Hi All,

I am trying to us GRIP to rip a CD from Hong Kong (Chinese Traditional charaters)
The disc title, artist name, song name are all showing up with ASCII scrambles.

I tried change the character encoding to ISO_8859_1 and ISO-8859-1 from UTF-8, still no use.

I tried to login GNOME using other Chinese locales such as simplified, still no use.
I tried also using Sound-Juicer, but no characters show up properly.
However, I can BT some mp3 files with Chiese characters file names, and it display properly on my terminal as well as in Nautilus.

Could anyone give me some pointers?

I am runnning Debian
Linux 2.6.18
GNOME, using locale: english UTF-8.
GRIP 3.3.1

As an experiment, I used iTune from my Windows, and it fetched all the characters properly.

Any advice welcome
