I'll try that too.  There's a slight disadvantage in that the whole
process will take longer, since it would involve ripping all tracks,
then normalizing them, then encoding them, rather than ripping T3
while normalizing T2 and encoding T1 (more or less) at the same time
--- but that would be outweighed by the advantage of actually getting
the results I want!

I'm using 3.3.1 on Ubuntu now.  It's been a while since I made that
bug report, but the behaviour hasn't changed.
