Subject: [Helix-client-dev] Helix Client

Dear Helix Client Representative/Developer,

My name is Isidro and I work for CPqD (http://www.cpqd.com.br
<http://cpqd.com.br/> ) an important Research and Development Center in
Brazil.

We have developed a webcast system based on Helix technology. The system is
composed of an authoring tool and a server that allow people to watch web
presentations in html pages using Real Player plug-in. This works fine in
note books and desktops.

Now we are interested on extending our webcast to mobile devices, and we
have just learned a little about Helix Client for Mobile.

So my questions are:

1- Which mobile cell phones support Helix Client? Is Black Berry among them?

The Helix DNA players are built by OEMs and we provide support for them.
Most of the devices/phones are Symbian based, but there are also some
Windows mobile and ARM-linux based devices. No, Black Berry is not among
them. It will require work with RIM.

2- I know that Nokia comes with Real Player in, but it does not support
SMIL. As far as I have learned, Helix Client supports SMIL 2.0. Is it
correct?

Yes, Helix Client supports SMIL 2.0

3- Are there Helix Client versions other mobile operating systems besides
Symbian?

I think this is already answered in the 1st question. However I
would like to mention that we have several licensed development patners
namely, Nokia, Motorola, Intel, Trolltech, EMP, Qualcomm, SUN and SEMC
teams.

If you are interested on watching our webcasts let me know.

Best Regards,

Isidro.
