Hi Daniel,
1. When I run
mobile-odh-root@LinuxPC3:~/HelixDNA/helix/player/hxclientkit/test$ HX_DEBUGLEVEL=2 HELIX_LIBS=/usr/local/helix/HelixPlayer dbg/testkit file:///home/mobile-odh-root/Thanh/C++/Streaming/1.ogg
I got the following messages:
HX_ASSERT failed: (m_pIPrefs)... File plghand2.cpp, Line 6259

HX_ASSERT failed: (m_pPreferences)... File hxflsrc.cpp, Line 351

X connection to :0.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown).
Did it mean error?
2. I built helix player from the source code which was downloaded from cvs, so where is the location of resource file? I could not find it. My helix folder is in /usr/local/helix. I looked through this folder but could not find any resource file. I only saw hxplay, hxplay.bin, install.log, LICENSE, README and the following folders Bin, codecs, common, doc, mozilla, plugins, share and postinsts
3. When I read makefile in "test" folder, I saw this file testkit_libs.a, I supposed that it was created by the following line
python $(BUILD_ROOT)/bin/armerge.py -a ar -d dbg/obj/lib dbg/testkit_libs.a $(STATIC_LIBS)
May you tell me what does this file use for?
4.
I tested with a simple program called HelixTest2, and I just built the source code together with $HELIX_ROOT/source/player/hxclientkit/dbg/libhxclient.so.1.0 and -lX11 -lpthread -ldl? and got the following issues
mobile-odh-root@LinuxPC3:~/Thanh/C++/HelixTest2$ HX_DEBUGLEVEL=2 HELIX_LIBS=/usr/local/helix/HelixPlayer ./HelixTest2 file:///home/mobile-odh-root/Thanh/C++/Streaming/1.ogg
HX_ASSERT failed: (m_pIPrefs)... File plghand2.cpp, Line 6259
OnVolumeChanged
HX_ASSERT failed: (m_pPreferences)... File hxflsrc.cpp, Line 351

The new window did not appear as "testkit" program. So I assumed that there was something wrong with compilation process. Am I right when saying that to use hxclient as a share library I just need to write a new program and build it together with Do I need to add any other library?
By the way, thanks a lot for your help and passion :)
Best regards,
Tran Hoang Thanh
