Summary: Frame rate & cpu drops with current builds
          Severity: TRIAGE
            Status: NEW

           Tracker: Settings Files
           Project: helix-producer
  Target Milestone: Beta

This problem appears with producerdna_all-071503-557 build on all OS.

Test Carried on:
Windows: Gogini's office machine,
Usability, P4, 1.5Ghz, 512MB Ram, Win Xp, Osprey 220 Audio and Video Card.

Linux: Gogini's office machine,
Redhat 6.2, PIII 800Mhz, 256MB Ram, Happauge video card, SB Live audio card.

Encoding for long duration (atleast 30 to 50 minutes) drops frame rate and cpu.

How to Repeat:
1)Install producer.zip on windows machine.
2)Encode capture to server + local archive from cmd line.
producer -ac 0 -vc 0 -sp root:[email protected]:8080/win.rm -o
384k_win.rm -ad 384k
3)Run the encode for 3 to 4 hours.
4)Observe that cpu and frame rate starts dropping after 30 minutes of encode.

Actual Result:

Test Results on P4, 1.5Ghz, winxp machine:
1)Type of encode: Push + local archive with 384k audience & frame size 320x240
start cpu: 51, start mem: 26,456k, frame rate: 30
After 15 hours of encode
End cpu: 13, End mem: 26,888k, frame rate: 5

Note: Similar results are noticed on linux OS.

Expected Result:Frame rate should be consistent through out the encode and cpu
should not drop drastically with current builds.
