Hi Martin, There is no open source license for the RealPlayer due to the fact that the codecs that it includes with it are not available under open source terms. In mobile applications the handset manufacturers usually deliver the RealPlayer already integrated in the mobile handset. They build the player on top of our universal media framework called the Helix DNA Client. It is a available to any developer for no charge for R&D under either an open (GPL or RPSL) or commercial source license. Information on this technology is here https://helix-client.helixcommunity.org/ Information on the licenses is here https://helixcommunity.org/content/licenses There maybe RealPlayers for mobile phones that you can download here http://www.realnetworks.com/industries/serviceproviders/mobile/manufacturers/licensing.html Scott Nelson Dir Bus Dev Real SF CA At 12:05 AM 12/5/2006, Martin Vilakazi \(Concepts\) wrote: Dear Sir/madam Please forward the details regarding the open source licence for Real player, we are currently developing a free mobile phone music stream in SA, we don't intend to make change them to stream content, but general public will only pay networks what due to them. Do you have a software that interested individuals can download to their cellphone, that will easly allow them to have a direct stream via, wap, gprs or network data-network.
