Re: MTP extensions

A special consideration is how MTP devices are detected: Microsoft 
probably have to be able to identify "unknown" devices (i.e. devices that 
didn't exist when they wrote their MTP driver).

This means that they must look at the USB device descriptor for 
information. But telling from the ones we've seen, there is nothing 
special about the MTP devices that they could be triggering on... The 
only thing I can think of is that anything with two BULK endpoints and one 
INTERRUPT IN endpoint will be probed with some PTP command to see if it is 
MTP-enabled.

How hackish... is this really what they do?
