We contacted the Xiph people to have their point of view on the format and they simply told us that Ogg is great and there is no need to create another container... I hope you don't plan to have the same attitude against 'arrogant competitors' (as we are often called). (I have read the short include files about G2 and I didn't see what is so special/great about it)
