The site was down when I tested. In the page cached by Google, there is very little text, a download link to a beta version and the email address [email protected]. I found the codec archive at http://www.divx-digest.com/software/rududu_codec.html. It is a codec for Windows. By the way, I have been in touch with the author/inventor of "hierarchical enumerative encoding" (as good as adaptive arithmetic encoding when encoding bitplane data) and he ensures me that the algorithm is patent-free. My attempts at producing a better algorithm for encoding wavelet coefficients has failed. It performed better than my mockup-SLCCA in only very few test images but 30% worse on average... Nah, well. / Johan -------------------------------------------------------------------- Rainier vs. Dr. Mos - Who will win in the end? --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to '[email protected]' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body.
