Erm, just a quick note so that we don't forget. The Tarkin codec in=20 its current state is mainly meant as an experiment with 3D wavelet=20 coding, not as a workable codec. Especially with Theora on the way,=20 Tarkin is mainly a research project aimed at finding new algorithms=20 or even totally new paradigms for the next generation of codecs. That said, ofcourse you are free to do whatever you like with it,=20 and I think UCI could be the solution to a problem that's been=20 mentioned here before, namely whether we want to have a standard=20 platform for codec development, something that lets you test your=20 codec in an easy way. UCI could do that, since all you'd have to do=20 is write a UCI interface and you can test out your codec with your=20 favourite video editor (if it supports UCI ofcourse).
