for the record, I intend to commit a minor release
with some bug fixes as soon as I figure out how to log
in and do so.  Small changes, mostly involving the QT
and VFW wrappers.

As for the codec proper, there are a number of changes
in the works that would improve quality/bits, some for
free and some with CPU cost.  They all require
breaking compatibility with the existing VP3
bitstream.  A decision will need to be made as to when
this should occur in relation to the OGG integration
effort.

I suppose this discussion will be taken up on the
theora list.
