I believe that KDE is hanging up the sound server. When I go to control panel
and uncheck the "Start sound server at startup" XMMS works fine. Is this
normal? Can I not have sounds in KDE if I want to run XMMS? This seems
wrong to me. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Tom C.
