Hi,

As you can see, xmms-devel is hardly active... FYI, since I did not want
to maintain a patched XMMS for ages, and did not like a lot the existing
XMMS shells, I wrote a python interface to libxmms and a python script
using this interface to be able to use from the command line the
numerous possibilities offered by libxmms (which are unfortunately not
available from the XMMS command line).

I hope it will suit your needs as it did for me.

("pyxmms-remote E file_1 file_2... file_n" will do as the unofficial
"xmms -E" did)
