Hmm.  This should probably be in the FAQ since it's fallen off of the
main page...

Basically, Red Hat didn't include the input plugin used to load MP3s,
due to possible patent issues.  You can grab the RPM on xmms.org's
download page, or you can compile xmms yourself, and you should be able
to play MP3s again.
