xmms and utf-8 locale

Hi,

I've found the patches in the BTS regarding better support of
latin1-id3-tags in utf locale (0050_all_libxmms-charset,
2012_all_mpg123-id3convert, 2013_all_mpg123-latin-id3,
2014_all_mpg123-encode-override) and applied them in this order to
fresh CVS-xmms. Compiled fine, but when I execute xmms I still have
no UTF-8 encoded titles when the id3 tag is latin1. Are there any
other patches I need to get this working? 

Also I saw in Bug number 1962 a screenshot
(http://bugs.xmms.org/attachment.cgi?id=270&action=view)
from the id3 info widget and this doesn't look like the one I got
with the compiled xmms. With that self-compiled I do not have 
the tabs at the bottom.

Could it be that the system installed xmms version is a problem here?
