Does anyone have any thoughts > on how they'd rather see it done? I second that intuition. "Two xmms instances" and "one instance with two playlist windows" seem to be two rather different mental models. Though designing to allow 1> instance of an application is very Unixy, there is still only one output device, so stuff like volume controls is a hard fit. Many _playlists_ is an easier concept to grasp though... My vote is for having >1 playlist in one instance (If you can mix and match between instances, that's a bonus). My 2c, /Anders PS. Anyone know of any irmp3 integration with xmms? (I'd like to leave irmp3 on a headless box, and sporadically connect xmms to it to massage its playlists etc...)
