In fact the KID is a kind of map to easily find parts of the userinterface or the help-files which are identified bij strings So every string you see in your normal installation will have a string attached to it ( yes that doesn't look pretty) Install the kid beside your "normal"installation. My normal installation is on C:\ program files (yep still on Windooze) My other installations are on E:\ so I have there E:\OOo 3,3.0 M4 and E:\KEY_id I start them up with separate shortcuts on the desktop I mostly unpack the installset on the desktop and then run setup.exe with parameter /a to be able to change the installpath. After installation I change the userconfiguration in bootstrap.ini from the installation to $ORIGIN/.. that will make sure it does not interfere with my "normal installation" -- DiGro Windows XP Professional SP2 and OOo 3.0 Scanned with: Ziggo uitgebreide internetbeveiliging
