Is OOo for the average Mac user only? I mean, some still use Panther (I 
do), the majority of Mac users seems to use mostly Tiger (see statistics 
that have been shown on this list). Leaving the support of Panther means 
that more than 10% of the Mac users won't be able to use OOo.

That's the same idea for XDarwin. And I think users of XDarwin are 
moslty familiar about the Open Source and Libre Software, 'cause its 
installation mainly come from fink or darwinports.
They are a privileged part of Mac users that may use OOo... I mean the 
percentage of people using OOo and known to use XDarwin might be higher 
than the percentage of people using OOo and not using XDarwin (with X11 
or not doesn't matter, if they don't, they are more likely to install 
X11 than XDarwin if they want to install OOo).

I'm using XDarwin from Darwinports... If XDarwin isn't supported by OOo, 
that would be *really* sad: I can't leave my Xdarwin to use X11. Then I 
wouldn't be able to use OOo...

Which lines are in question? What sort of code? (I've never read the OOo 
  launcher code, but IMHO,) checking if your X server is XDarwin or 
Apple's X11 wouldn't be *that* difficult.
