But that is not default, which means I have no means of restricting
the available styles for an OOo installation? That is what I want,
so I know the XML output to expect.=20
My preference would be to  constrain the available styles
to a fixed list (e.g. headings 1 to 6).

So this isn't possible then?
Any idea if I could modify code and rebuild Ooo/writer to do this?
