Open Office Compatibility with Android 3.1 Honeycomb

I am entering an area of computing where I am completely unfamiliar and as
dumb as a stump.

I am considering buying a Toshiba Thrive tablet running Android 3.1
Honeycomb and it will be my first step outside the world of PC's.  I would
not expect the Thrive to replace my PC's but I would expect to be able to
move files between the machines which would mean being able to open and work
with my Open Office files on the Thrive on occasion.

My question is, can anyone kindly tell me if Open Office is compatible with
Android 3.1 Honeycomb?  Anything I can learn from this question and reply
will strongly influence whether or not I purchase this tablet.
