[OOo-Hebrew] Strange bug: transposed parantheses in PDF

For some time now, I've been annoyed by a strange bug in OpenOffice, and
I wonder if anyone else noticed it, or can explain it (if not, I guess I'll
open a bug report on it...).

The problem is that sometimes, when I export a document from OpenOffice to
PDF, the parantheses are written reversed (left and right parantheses are
transposed). Everything else - writing direction, fonts, and so on - comes
out perfect. The strange thing is that the parantheses look correct on the
screen, and also on PostScript export - they just come out wrong on PDF.

After some experimentation, I noticed that the problem is somehow specific
to the Culmus fonts: If I switch to Microsoft's TrueType fonts (even on Linux)
the parantheses are not reversed on the PDF.

Is this issue familar to anyone? Can anyone else replicate it?
Any guesses on what kind of strange interaction between OpenOffice, PDF and
Culmus could be causing this problem?

I'm using OpenOffice that comes with Fedora Core 6, by the way, but I
noticed this problem for at least a year now in many versions of OpenOffice.
