Opening Database File

To whom it may concern.             

 

I recently installed Open Office 3.3 and then build a mailing list data
base. The data base was saved to my computer and shows up in my documents
files in Windows 7 however the document will not open when clicked on. Open
Office will open but seems to only allow me to build a new data base but not
open the one already built?
