Evaluate Issue 110384 as important step that ought to be solved (stopper?)

Hi Everyone,

I know this issue isn't a regression

but we are all suffering since too long time the described trouble and 
we must definetively deal with it.

I have just suggested in the issue's comments some specialized 
teams/communities that could help us fixing/improving (3.3) and 
re-engineering (3.4) the involved subsystem.

I don't explicitly ask you to put this issue as 3.3 stopper, but test 
the two attached files and then you'll get the answer! ;-)
