Problems with Russian

Hello! Was ANYONE successful in using OTRS with Russian? No matter what I've tried to configure, OTRS did NOT, repeat NOT work with russian until I've removed all iso-8859-* language files. However, it still doesn't import EMail properly. Where should I debug the problem?
